About this business

Since 1999, Southwest Truck Driver Training has offered CDL training to prepare drivers for an exceptional career in trucking. Our programs include Class A CDL, Class B CDL, a Refreshers Course for returning CDL drivers, and RV driving. Southwest Truck Driver Training is an independent trucking school, not owned by a trucking company. Why does that matter? We are student-focused and not worried about filling up our trucks. We also provide financial aid and career assistance to students to help them in finding the job place... read more

I’m really not sure how to start this but here I go.. I’m a recent graduate from this amazing truck driving school. With that being said… Dan is the man. 😁 Kristin is such an amazing human being to work with. The day before my test, I was nervous to the point I thought I wasn’t ready. I called her and she made me feel so relived about it and I ended up passing the next day! Tom, is an amazing instructor. By far, one of the best in the school and should recognize way more than what he currently is. Mike….you are a charac... read more

I started my training with Southwest truck driver training on February 3rd, 2025. Anita was my instructor for the full 4 weeks. She is a fantastic person and a great teacher. The first 2 weeks are spent in the classroom. The last 2 weeks are spent out on the range learning how to drive the truck. That consists of your pre-trip inspection, backing, and over the road driving through the city streets of Tucson. The learning is fast-paced, so you need to be able to keep up. During the last two weeks, when you're learning to driv... read more

Pretty good school and they are real truck drivers who teach you! Not just from the book. Bob was the instructor and he did great with the class. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get there licenses. I was in the night classes from mon-fri 5pm-11pm and it’s 2 weeks in class then 3 weeks on the range

Big thank you to everyone at this school. They definitely care about everyone they train. You can tell it's not just a job for them but more of a passion to help you not only get your cdl but make sure you become a safe operator as well. I had the pleasure of getting trained by Anita and Shane. They don't use the one size fits all training method but they kinda tailored to each person rather than leave you behind to catch up they helped you in areas you needed additional help in. While I was in class I saw them train people ... read more
